Sensei Onaga course...

Last weekend was a very GOJU one. Sensei Ryoichi Onaga gave us 3 days of hard trainning in his especial way.

Very technical, this course brought us lots of knowledge (and pain!). Our Association (Kaizen Karate Portugal) was there with 32 karate-ka.

Very good, very painfull...

Kobudo

Last weekend, at 1st Kaizen Karate Course, we did a little Kobudo with João Coutinho Sensei. Introducing Bo techniques, Sensei Coutinho gave us 2 hours whith basics and Bo Kihon Ichi.
I´m a Kobudo Shodan but I have 2 classes of karate to run and the week has only 7 days! Last friday, at the end of karate class, we did some Kobudo again. Bo Kihon Ichi and basic techniques again to remember. It was very good!
I will try to continue Kobudo with the class every friday after the karate class. We will see!

Ásterix 50th aniversary!

Altough a little out of this blog`s theme, I think is interesting the work of France Air Force cellebrating the 50th aniversary of the most famous character of Uderzo.

It´s impressive!

Onaga Sensei

Portugal is organising a Karate course with Sensei Ryoichi Onaga. Sensei Armando Inocentes, head of portuguese association, invited us to participate in this event.
Is taking place next November 13,14 and 15 at Tapada das Mercês, near Lisbon.
It´s an opportunity to train with this great master of Goju-Ryu.
